Firstly, I want to express a huge THANK YOU for this amazing bicycle adventure. Since the competition began, I've covered 2,000 km—more than I've done in the last 20 years combined. Joining this game, I expected hitting 100 km to be an achievement. As a non-avid cyclist, I had no idea how quickly I could cover that distance. Over time, my wife and I ventured to Tricity and completed a 180 km ride.

I noticed on the Activy platform that some other users have similar distances to mine. I managed to connect with them, so not all of these athletic friends remain virtual acquaintances :) We didn’t know each other, we only knew that we train around the same time. It was a bit like a hunt; we eventually met on the track.

Discovering the Activy challenge was a game-changer for me. With a mere 13 km commute to work, cycling wasn't really on my radar. But the challenge beckoned, and I decided to give biking a shot. What's interesting is that my son had a school competition too, so it turned into a motivational tag-team effort. Prior to this, I'd been caught up in workplace walking contests, competing with colleagues to stay active. Then, a colleague dropped the Activy challenge in my inbox, and there was no doubt – I was in!

Picking my trusty bicycle was a genius move – it's my gym-on-wheels, saving me from the treadmill monotony. Cycling isn't just a mode of transportation; it's a dynamic sport that fuels my daily grind. While my love for cycling has always simmered, life took me on an unexpected detour. Fast forward three years, and I'm back in the saddle, clocking a solid 18.5 km en route to my job.

The Bike IT challenge swept in like a breath of fresh air, injecting a vibrant burst of competition into our workplace. Round one was a hit – every team member strapped on their helmets, rode the wave of excitement, and clocked up points like champions. From hardcore cyclists seeking more mileage to occasional riders dusting off their bikes, everyone was bitten by the mileage bug. Rain or shine, the chase for points spurred us into action. Even the most reluctant riders found themselves pedaling to the office, lured by the thrill of accumulating points. The Activy app was our secret weapon, effortlessly tracking our progress and weaving a tapestry of accomplishments. With Strava integration on deck, registering routes became a breeze, and it didn't stop at the finish line. The race may have ended, but our love for racking up kilometers didn't – the app keeps the wheels turning even after the final whistle.

My journey into the world of biking kicked off thanks to an Activy challenge. Tired of the niggling micro-traumas from my martial arts practice, I sought a different way to move and found myself on two wheels. It was a win-win: not only did cycling provide a remedy for those pesky injuries, but it also threw a work challenge into the mix. Activy took the lead as my first-ever tracking app, guiding me through uncharted territory.

  • May marked the fulfillment of a long-held dream as I finally purchased my cherished bicycle. From that moment on, my daily journey to work took on a thrilling new dimension. The once-grueling city bus commute, enduring 1 to 1.15 hours of rush hour congestion, was swiftly replaced with a brisk 30 to 35-minute bike ride. The challenge, oh the challenge, it injected an extra dose of motivation into my pedaling routine! With every pedal stroke, a stronger connection blossomed between me and our enchanting city. As I zipped through its streets, I couldn't help but revel in the joy of representing my company while feeling the wind on my face.

Two years back, a moment of clarity struck me while sitting stagnant in a traffic jam, trapped within the confines of my car. The allure of cycling beckoned, and I heeded its call. From that point on, my commute transformed into an outdoor adventure, bathed in the radiant sunlight and embraced by the beautiful weather. This new journey to work now consumed the same amount of time, yet the experience was refreshingly different.

The Activy challenge sparked vibrant discussions across the office, with the kitchen buzzing about the leaderboard's frontrunners. The app ignited both competitive fire and team-building. We engaged in friendly rivalry while recognizing our united effort for a meaningful cause. The charity goal was paramount, and personally, it fueled my commitment to keep pedaling. Tracking my progress was another strong incentive. This was my first dive into such apps, and I absolutely enjoyed the virtual logbook and the insights it provided into my stats.

  • I got my bike in late August, and this app motivated me to start commuting with it. I've covered nearly 1000 km already! I feel so much better now :) I'm definitely signing up for this again next year. Thanks a bunch!

  • The idea of the application is cool! It’s a huge motivator to ride a bike (even in the rain) and nice gamification in a workplace for employees. Emotions there were great! The idea grade: 5+.

I love spending my time actively — swimming, badminton, skating, skiing, and now, of course, cycling. I liked the Activy Challenge. Many people in my company got involved in the game and competition. We used the app not only for cycling. I often used it to check if people from another office had already arrived at work, and then I could call them!

  • Activy is a great example of good gamification. The application is user friendly and functional, encouraging to do more and more kilometers. The competition motivated me to ride a bike daily to the office and other places. I even got my workmates in. What’s more, travelling to the office and back is much nicer now! Instead of crowds in a tram I have avenues or the green side of Vistula around me.

I started with a personal goal of 3500 km, but soon I found myself caught up in a friendly race with a colleague. The competitive spirit took over, and I surpassed my goal, reaching 5000 km! I've been a cyclist for a while, but it was about 3.5 years ago that my passion truly ignited. I even ventured into running and triathlon training (although during the competition, running and swimming took a back seat :)

My bike is my go-to for commuting. At our company, there's a mix of dedicated cyclists and those who rely on bikes for daily transport. This diversity led us to form smaller groups, sparking friendly competition beyond the race for the top spot. Our office buzzed with discussions about the competition, bringing us all together. While the charity aspect was significant, what truly mattered to me was the sheer enjoyment I derived from the experience.

  • Your idea really struck a chord. This initiative helped me achieve several goals simultaneously: contributing as a volunteer, enhancing my fitness, bonding with colleagues through play, and even shedding some weight - something I thought was impossible :) Thanks a million!

  • I never used to ride a bicycle before the competition, and commuting to work on a bicycle seemed impossible. Activy showed me that it's possible, even ten days in a row. Through points received for streaks and group motivation, I choose my bicycle more often.

I have a passion for cycling and a heart for charity work. When I learned in our office that we could contribute to a cause through the Activy application, I jumped into the challenge eagerly. We hit the goal remarkably quickly, yet I didn't hang up my cycling gear. It was my maiden experience with an activity-tracking app, and I was amazed. Despite my rides averaging just 4 km, I covered a total of 460 km in just a month and a half. Every kilometer became a motivation to ditch excuses and pedal even more.

  • My husband was involved even more than me, checking my results in Activy every day and comparing my rankings.

    PGE Challenge

  • For me, Activy held a significance akin to what Facebook means to others. It was the first thing I checked every morning. Working during the afternoons, my mornings were reserved for scrutinizing the app's rankings, strategically planning my rides for the day to ensure ample time on the bike and to maintain a leading position. Even after work, I often opted for longer routes home to rack up more points. My driving force was the competition, and I used it to spur on my friends as well. I was taken aback by the sheer number of cyclists within the company. Looking ahead to next year, we're already mapping out a group of enthusiasts, intent on accumulating miles together – a challenge we're determined to conquer!

I purchased an adorable new bicycle this year, and the competition became my testing ground. While my primary cycling routine revolves around commuting to work, I also pedal after hours and on weekends. The office is a mere 6.5 km away, which feels a tad short for my liking. However, a friend of mine covers just 3 km to her workplace and finds joy in biking that distance.

I stumbled upon Activy by chance, as the promotional spot was conveniently located near my usual shopping mall. Competition is as dear to me as my affection for bicycles, so I promptly downloaded the app. I managed to snag all available badges and secured noteworthy positions in the rankings multiple times. Activy seamlessly merges two key functions that matter to me: establishing personal goals and conquering them, while also engaging in competitive rankings and team challenges. To me, Activy primarily embodies immense enjoyment, a game, and entertainment rolled into one. Yet, the capacity to monitor my accomplishments and revisit my results holds significant value as well.

  • I do not know if this will be an interesting story, but let me say this: last year I started - after years of saving myself - cycling a bit more intensely. In May, commuting to and from work by bicycle, I made rides of about 10 km a day. As the challenge came, I started to spin more intensively and so ended October with every day rides between 50 and 90 km.I wouldn't have thought that I would cycle that INTENSELY. I feel great, I even lost a few unnecessary kilos. I can't fail to mention that my beloved wife had a big part in it. I keep my fingers crossed for this kind of initiative.
